Henry Byrne / New York City

17. Solo founder.

Founder from New York City. I build AI-native apps from scratch.

Two shipped products before my 18th birthday. Both started as problems I hit myself.

Don't take my word for it.

Building in public: I ship and share the work as it happens, not after it is polished. Here is who has already taken it seriously.

Pitched to venture partners

Pitched both products to partners at established venture firms and experienced startup CEOs, and got pulled into their technical conversations.

VibeCon by Replit

Attended Replit's creative-AI conference and connected with founders and builders working on the same problems.

Apple Developer Program

Enrolled as a registered Apple developer. Built my app in Xcode and installed it on a physical iPhone.

YC and Z Fellows applicant

Applied to Y Combinator and Z Fellows, competitive programs that back young technical founders.

Boston University

Incoming freshman.

Second Team All-American

High School Track and Field.

What I'm building

Flagship

Play2Play

A short-form vertical video app that helps high school athletes get seen by college recruiters.

Think a TikTok-style feed built specifically for athletic highlights and recruiting.

In the US, getting recruited to play college sports means getting noticed by coaches. The tools for that are scattered and outdated. I went through the process myself and built what I wished existed.

  • Vertical highlight feed
  • Player and team stats
  • Sport and school rankings in a dedicated Rankings tab
  • Recruiting visibility tools
  • AI Coach

Bizby

An AI business coach that guides first-time founders from a blank page to a real plan.

Built on Anthropic's API.

A short quiz, a personalized business idea, then a step-by-step roadmap with coaching chat.

The pattern, not the products

I spot a broken process and ship a tool to fix it. Solo, with AI-assisted development. I have done it twice before turning 18.

I'm Henry, a founder and athlete in New York City. I compete in track, football, and rugby.

Play2Play came from going through the athlete recruiting process myself and seeing how broken it was. Bizby came from watching people freeze at the blank page when they want to start something.

I build in public. I go to conferences, cold email people I admire, and ship code almost every day.

I develop solo with AI tools as leverage. One person can move like a small team.

How I work

Idea to shipped

I turn a fuzzy idea into a product people can use.

Full-stack, AI-assisted

Supabase, Vercel, native iOS, web.

Go-to-market, solo

Pitching, outreach, and distribution. I do the whole loop.

Athlete's discipline

Training habits carry straight into shipping habits.

Bet on me early.
